The idea is that when you nudge the shifter it should actually go into the next gear. False neutrals in the upper gears and a generally notchy feel doesn't exactly inspire confidence either.

Regarding the replacement of the shift lever, there are a few important points to note. The T-shaped washer of the shift lever must be inserted into the lever hole without any misalignment. The fixing screw of the shift lever should not be excessively tightened. The screw installation requires thread locking adhesive. After installation, it is necessary to check if the shift lever can bounce back properly. You can perform a pressing test with a screwdriver. If the screw is too tight, it will make it difficult for the lever to bounce back, resulting in rough gear shifting. Remember to keep this in mind.
